Refractory Products

EZ CAST® 2700 is a general purpose, economical castable designed for applications up to 2700°F. Its high strength and ability to be pumped or poured make it the ideal choice for any number of applications where access is limited or obstructions make work difficult. It is particularly effective in applications where destructive gases and atmospheres or excessive wear shorten refractory life.

EZ CAST® 2800 is similar to EZ CAST® 2700, except designed for applications up to 2800°F. In the laboratory, this product has tested well for resistance to CO (carbon monoxide) disintegration encountered in coke ovens and blast furnaces.

EZ CAST® 2800 FINE is a Fine-Grained, Conventional Cement, 45% Alumina castable that can be installed by vibration cast, pumpcasting, or self-leveling methods.

EZ CUBED® 2700 is a conventional cement-bonded, fireclay-based, 42% Alumina castable that can be installed by vibration cast , pumpcasting, self-leveling, or shotcreting methods.

EZ CUBED® 2800 is a cement-bonded, fireclay-based, 45% Alumina castable that can be installed by vibration cast , pumpcasting, self-leveling, or shotcreting methods.

EZ CUBED® LO-ERODE® can be vibration cast or poured in addition to shotcreted and can be used at temperatures up to 2600°F. It is a shotcrete mix that will meet the tough property standards at 1500°F required by the hydrocarbon processing industry.

GC SAKONITE® is a “gun castable” with a 2200ºF service temperature limit. It was specially designed to give good gunning characteristics and also be a good castable. It is used in applications where conventional concrete is not refractory nor strong enough to withstand routine mechanical abuse or abrasion at elevated temperatures. It is the gunning version of standard SAKONITE® castable.

HI-STRENGTH™ 25 is a very cost-effective, high duty refractory castable designed to resist abrasion and erosion at moderate temperatures. It has excellent thermal shock resistance and is widely used as a refractory lining and maintenance material for many different applications.

HI-STRENGTH™ 26-LI was developed to meet the demands for a low iron castable in the 125 Ibs/ft3 range. The lower iron content results in better resistance to reducing atmospheres. It has excellent strength throughout its temperature range and very good abrasion and erosion resistance.

HI-STRENGTH™ 28-LI produces a tough, monolithic structure with negligible shrinkage. It has good refractoriness with a 2800°F use limit. A casting or ramming consistency may be obtained by control of water during mixing.

HM 26 LIF is a Fine Grain, General Purpose Gunning Mix bonded with Low Iron Cement. HM 26 LIF can be used to repair and maintain Coke Oven Walls.

HM 28 LI is a low iron refractory gunning mix based on hard fired alumina/silica aggregate of approximately 60 % mullite content and a low iron calcium aluminate binder.

HM 28LI CO is a low iron refractory gunning mix based on hard fired alumina/silica aggregate of approximately 60% mullite content and a low iron calcium aluminate binder, designed for Coke Oven gunning

HM 28LIF CO is a low iron refractory gunning mix based on hard fired alumina/silica aggregate of approximately 60% mullite content and a low iron calcium aluminate binder, designed for Coke Oven gunning

HM 70 is a High Alumina refractory composition bonded with Low Iron Cement. HM 70 is designed for general purpose repairs where there is a need for resistance to high temperatures and erosion.

LADLELINE™ is an economical, 3000°F, low-iron castable. It is volume stable with good strength throughout its temperature range. Although originally designed for casting ladles, LADLELINE™ has proven to be a good, general-purpose, high temperature castable for a wide variety of applications.

LO-ERODE® GM is an economical, highly effective, abrasion and erosion resistant low iron gunning mix for service temperatures up to 2400°F. When properly gunned, it produces rugged monolithic linings with good volume stability.

Pacocast 24T is 40% alumina, low iron castable designed to be more plastic than other conventional castables. This product can be used for patching linings and for installing by troweling or plastering rather than gunning or casting.

PACOCAST 28LI castable combines the qualities of a pyrophyllite/andalusite mineral based composition. It's low iron content makes it ideal for higher temperatures and reducing atmospheres. PACOCAST 28LI should be installed using vibration casting, It is not recommended for gunning use; for gunning see HM-28 LI.

PACOCAST 28LI COARSE GRAIN offers the qualities of a Pyrophyllite/Andalusite mineral based composition in a coarse grained package. Maximum aggregate size in this product is 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Pacocast 28LI Coarse Grain is designed for use in applications where mechanical abuse and impacts are common.
