Refractory Products

CASTABLE #16 is an ultra-lightweight refractory concrete with a service limit of 1600oF as a hot face material and 1800oF as a backup insulation. CASTABLE #16 has a good strength to weight ratio and can replace block insulation for many applications. The most useful property is the very low K-factor.

KC MIX is a high performance insulating castable for a variety of kiln car applications. Its density is approximately 60 lbs/ft3 and offers superior strength characteristics, as well as a high strength-to-insulation ratio. Use of this material at the base of kiln cars assures that under car temperatures remain well within required limits

LHV-124 is a lumnite, haydite, and vermiculite (LHV) mix. It is a lightweight, 60 pcf insulating castable that can be installed by casting methods.

PURO-LITE® 30 is a lightweight castable with a very low iron content for service to 3000°F. It can be used in direct exposure to flame or furnace gases, or as a backup for brick or castable. It is a low iron material with good resistance to carbon monoxide disintegration and thermal shock.

QUIKLITE 30 is a medium weight insulating castable that can be cast or gunned. QUIKLITE 30 has a 3000°F maximum service temperature and a low iron oxide content, which is suitable for most furnace atmospheres. After the initial set, this product can be heated without using the traditional ramp-and-hold heatup schedule

Its density is approximately 60 lb/ft3 and offers superior strength characteristics, as well as a high strength-to-insulation ratio. This material can be used as an original lining material or as a replacement for refractory ceramic fiber. RESCOCAST 3 can be installed by either gunning or casting methods. For pumpcasting or shotcreting applications, RESCOCAST 3 PC is recommended.

RESCOCAST 3-20R is a lightweight insulating material designed to replace insulating block. Its low density results in very low “K” factors for super insulation. It can be used as a back up material in bi-wall linings or as a single component lining where the temperatures are not to exceed 2000°F.
