Rescobond Castable Products - Comparisons
The castable which sets the standards for performance, ease of application, and long life throughout its full range of applications is Resco's premium, abrasion/erosion-resistant castable, Rescobond AA-22S. Particularly effective in thin, metal-anchored and metal-reinforced linings, Rescobond AA-22S offers all the benefits of air setting. Because it readily bonds to other refractory surfaces it is ideal as a quick and easy patch -- a permanent patch -- for worn linings.
The Rescobond, family of castables are easy-to-mix castables which adhere permanently to all refractory surfaces with heat curing. This line of specialty products offers exceptional physical properties for all applications and can be used for patching or for a full lining.
RESCOBOND AA-22S |
is a chemically bonded, erosion resistant, single component refractory material used primarily in thin lining applications to protect against severe abrasion. To prepare for use, mix the RESCOBOND AA-22S with water. RESCOBOND AA-22S is an air setting material. It can be used to patch other refractory linings. |
RESCOBOND AA-22 BRUSH MIX |
is a slurry material that's ideal for strengthening existing refractory lining surfaces. It can be applied to 1/4" thick providing increased refractory protection without a great loss of volume to your unit. At an application thickness of 1/4", one 65 pound pail will cover approximately 18 square feet. Its white, reflective, surface finish helps to reduce heat loss by reflecting heat back into the unit |
RESCOBOND 3000 |
is a phosphate bonded, chemically setting refractory castable that is prepared for use by mixing with water. It develops a quick set, and can be heated shortly after installation to provide a fast "back on line" capability for your unit. In addition to its use as a primary lining, RESCOBOND 3000's chemical bonding system provides adherence to existing refractory, making it an effective patching material. RESCOBOND 3000 can be installed by vibration casting or hand-packing techniques. |
RESCOBOND 3000A |
is a phosphate bonded, chemically setting refractory castable that is non-wetting to molten aluminum. When mixed with water, it develops a quick set, and can be heated shortly after installation to provide a fast "back on line" capability for your unit. In addition to its use as a primary lining, RESCOBOND 3000A's chemical bonding system provides adherence to existing refractory, making it an effective patching material. RESCOBOND 3000A can be installed by vibration casting or hand-packing techniques. |
RESCOBOND 3000G |
is a single component phosphate bonded, chemically setting refractory gunning mix. It develops a quick set and can be heated shortly after installation to provide a fast "back on line" capability for your unit. It's chemical bonding system provides adherence to existing refractory, making it an effective patching material. RESCOBOND 3000G can be installed by gunning using conventional gunning equipment or hand-packing techniques. |
RESOBOND 3000AG |
is a single component phosphate bonded, chemically setting refractory gunning mix that is nonwetting to molten aluminum. It develops a quick set and can be heated shortly after installation to provide a fast "back on line" capability for your unit. It's chemical bonding system provides adherence to existing refractory, making it an effective patching material. RESCOBOND 3000G can be installed by gunning or hand-packing techniques. |
RESCOBOND 90 |
is a phosphate bonded, high purity, 90% alumina refractory castable that is prepared for use by mixing with water. It develops a quick set, and can be heated shortly after installation to provide a fast "back on line" capability for your unit. In addition to its use as a primary lining, RESCOBOND 90's chemical bonding system provides adherence to existing refractory, making it an effective patching material. RESCOBOND 90 can be installed by vibration casting or hand-packing techniques. |
RESCOBOND 90A |
is a phosphate bonded, high purity, 90% alumina refractory castable that is non-wetting to molten aluminum. When mixed with water, it develops a quick set, and can be heated shortly after installation to provide a fast "back on line" capability for your unit. In addition to its use as a primary lining, RESCOBOND 90A's chemical bonding system provides adherence to existing refractory, making it an effective patching material. RESCOBOND 90A can be installed by vibration casting or handpacking techniques. |
22 CAULK |
is shipped in ready-to-use caulking tubes and is applied with a caulking gun. 22 Caulk is used to fill cracks and joints in refractory linings. |
